coasters. Conservation and the different types of stone require different measures on the chemical composition of the material is used. Not all stone is the same, and it is important to understand the exact nature of this type of stone, to understand how to care for their natural properties.
Classic rock, beverage coasters are marble. Elegant, refined and sophisticated, marble is a material that gave the architectural and artistic works of mankind for centuries. When used in drink coasters material is generally polished smooth, although it is possible to make them ina less slippery polished surface. Caring for marble drink coasters is one of the hardest types of stone maintenance. This is because it is a solid marble base, acid-base relationship. This means that if an acidic substance comes in contact with marble, the chemical reaction occurs, causing the stone to the fade. Fortunately, most marble coasters are treated with an invisible chemical glue to prevent this, however, that does not deny the fact that they wear a sealant over time, so mats vulnerable.
The best way to wash the marble coasters, it is easy to use scratch cloth, along with mild warm water. Do not use soap or other chemical detergents, as these are often acidic. If you have a natural cleaning product that is not acidic or marble cleaning, may be used. Slate is much tougher, more durable material, which is often used in the manufacture of beverages runway. Generally speaking, slate wont need much maintenance. Unlike marble, slate does not respond nearly as naturally as marble in the acidic substance, but if something acidic to get on a roller coaster, you should wipe it immediately, as over time can form spots.
