You’ve manufactured 13,000 transmission bearings too many. At another time, this may not have been a bad thing. However, in this economy, excess is deadly. All of those wasted hours, materials, and utilities, gone. You’ve called around, and none of your clients need any bearings, you’ve already filled their orders. So what are you going to do with 13,000 transmission bearings? The positive is, you still have the bearings; they can be sold. But who’s going to find the people who are looking for bearings?

Well, it would be great to be able to get rid of all 13,000 of them at once, so how can I do it? Oddly enough, you can actually search the net. There are lots of shops online that buy surplus and bulk orders of random stuff like transmission bearings, the danger here is that they may want to only pay an amount that cuts too deep into your profit margin. But it’s still a great way to clear out the warehouse for the set of orders.

You can also have a stock clearance sale to get rid of the overstock. Simply make a few phone calls and send out some emails to some sales reps and find out if they have a need for the bearings. Offer them a clearance discount and maybe even give them a bulk discount. Just as long as those stock bearings are gone, it matters not to you.
